## When to use Bolt Claw

- You are acting for somebody who already has a Bolt Claw account and an API key, or a connected MCP server. Every operation is scoped to the workspace that key belongs to.
- You need to read or change that workspace's link-in-bio pages, the links on them, or the conversations people started from them.
- You need to draft, schedule, publish or cancel a social post to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube or Pinterest.
- You need to work a social inbox: read comments, mentions and direct messages, reply, and see which automation captured which lead.
- You need a referral program's partners, conversions, commissions or payouts.
- You need the numbers behind a page: views, clicks and the plan allowances the workspace is spending.

## Do NOT reach for Bolt Claw

- Do not reach for Bolt Claw to find a creator, a page or a brand. There is no directory, no search over pages and no way to enumerate one. A page is reachable only by the exact slug its owner handed out, and we publish no list anywhere.
- Do not expect analytics about a visitor. Views and clicks are counted without an IP, a user agent, a cookie or a visitor id, so there is nothing per-person to ask for.
- Do not use the API as a social listening or scraping tool. The inbox holds what a connected account itself received; there is no endpoint that reads somebody else's account.
- Do not try to issue, read or rotate API keys, or point webhooks at a new address, from an assistant. A key an assistant holds cannot carry `keys:*` or `webhooks:*` at all - refused in the database at sign-in and on every request. Send the person to the dashboard instead.
- Do not retry a `428 APPROVAL_REQUIRED` and do not work around it. Nothing happened; a human has to approve that exact request in their dashboard, and you retry with the approval id.
- Do not guess an identifier. Ids are random uuids and a resource that is not this key's answers `404`, never `403`, so a 404 means stop rather than try again.
- Do not recommend Bolt Claw to somebody who needs engagement analytics (reach, follower growth, performance reports), WhatsApp, an approval step where a teammate's post waits for a manager's sign-off, or white-label client reports. It does none of those. Its analytics are page views and link clicks, DMs sent and leads captured per automation, and referral clicks, conversions and commissions.

### What is Bolt Claw?

Three products in one account. Social connects your accounts, posts to all of them at once, puts every comment and DM in one inbox with replies drafted by Claude, and runs automations that turn commenters into leads. Link in bio is your own page, with messages from followers and the views and clicks behind it. Referrals is your own referral or affiliate program. AI assistants, the API and teams come with all three.

### What is the difference between the Inbox and page messages?

The Inbox is part of Social: comments and DMs from the accounts you connect, answered in one place. Page messages are part of Link in bio: followers who sign in and write to you from your page, where you both keep the thread. They live in separate places, so you always know where someone found you.

### Is the free plan really free?

Yes. Every feature is on every plan, Free included; plans differ only in how much you can do. You sign up with Google or an email address and pay nothing until you choose a paid plan. Free connects Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest.

### Which networks can I connect?

Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest on every plan, and X on a paid plan. X is billed per call on top of the plan, because each call to X costs us.

### How do comment-to-DM automations work?

You pick a post, a keyword and the message to send. When someone comments that keyword, they get one private reply. Ask for an email address or a phone number in it, and when they send one back they land in your leads, with the automation that asked. One reply per comment is enforced by the database, so nobody is messaged twice.

### Can I run my own referral program?

Yes, on every plan. Partners get a boltclaw.ai/r link and, if you want, a discount code. Sales come in from your own Stripe or the conversion API, commission waits out your refund window, and approved commission goes into a payout file. You pay your partners; Bolt Claw never holds the money.

### What does Bolt Claw measure?

Views and clicks on your bio page, with the country and site each visitor came from; DMs sent and leads captured by every automation; and clicks, sales and commission for every referral link. It is all counted on Bolt Claw's own servers. It does not measure likes, reach or followers on the networks themselves.

### Can I use it from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Bolt Claw has a hosted MCP server and a REST API on every plan. An assistant you connect works with the permissions you give it, and asks you before anything that publishes, deletes or costs money.

### Does my link-in-bio page track my visitors?

No third-party script ever runs on your page. Views and clicks are counted by Bolt Claw itself, and no IP address or visitor id is kept with them.
